A kép a lenyugvó Nap utolsó fényeinél készült. Tenerife jóval közelebb helyezkedik el az Egyenlítőhöz mint Magyarország, így a holdkelte és naplemente is gyorsabban megy végbe. Ez eredményezte, hogy a képen nemcsak az óceán hullámai, de a Hold is elmosódott a 30 másodperces expozíció alatt.
