A Deadvlei egy fehér agyagos terület a namíbiai Namib-Naukluft Park dűnék közötti völgyében. Mintegy 600-700 évvel ezelőtt az itt élő fák elpusztultak. Bár nem kövesedtek meg, nem bomlottak le, mert a terület annyira száraz.
